Perform Troubleshooting errors

How do you perform troubleshooting errors while downloading software updates for Sony TV? I encountered and issue saying that I cannot update using the USB. Upon checking the storage, formatting the USB, and removing previous updates, I still cannot push through. I simply repeat the installation process and glad it worked.
